Geuemcheon folly park 금나래중앙공원

Located in the heart of a newly developing district of Geuemcheon-gu, the Geuemcheon Folly Park is a 4 acre civic space that serves local residents and nearby community. As a unique landscape set with unique folly structures, the park is designed to be flexible, and responds to the desire that it serve as respite from the urban environment as well as a place for community gatherings, festivals and events. At the center of the park, a generous lawn and community center with sloped hill are designed to be used for passive recreation as well as formal performances. An urban garden composed of flowing perennial and a  shrub beds is located at the entry of the park This strong but simple design creates a landscape structure that belies the multiplicity of activities and allows for flexible use.

The Folly structures that serve as benches, shelters, and a bike rack,etc. are designed by 9 invited architects and landscape architect.
