snu law school square

Location: Seoul National University,  Seoul, Korea
Area 600m²

The existing square at Seoul National University Law School, known as the Bell of Justice Square, had long been neglected and unused for an extended period, resulting in visual and environmental deterioration, turning it into a facility that repelled rather than attracted. This area has undergone revitalization efforts, reclaiming the unused space and reinforcing the symbolism of the Bell of Justice. Circular patterns of paving stones and granite benches have been strategically arranged around its center.

Additionally, the stairs and planter spaces connecting the upper and lower sections have been reimagined as accessible areas. This involved the removal of existing planters and the introduction of lawn terraced steps and wooden benches. The upper and lower parts are now visually and functionally linked, creating a versatile space suitable for various activities.
