Leaf Trellis is a structure that can serve as a shelter offering programmatical use. As a part of Folly Design Project in newly built park, Leaf Trellis represents the shape of leaf, which is a playful engagement with its surrounding landscape.
The structure is composed of series of table, sitting , canopy and white steel columns, defining a space of 6m long, 2.7m in height, 3m max wide with variation. 50mm dia. white columns create “rooms” that viewers can occupy within the outline defined by the leaf shape framework. It seeks to make metaphorical frames that structure our shared sense of reality and spatial experience. The project is designed to fall within the modest budget of $30,000.
