This master plan for 3,000 acre of farm land suggests the Gangseo Zone of West Busan becoming a green logistics industrial city through systematic and diversified regeneration, storage and circulation of river water. The city will have strong link with rich natural environment and grow as the center of logistics in northeast Asia.
To achieve this, the topography will be filled based on the flood frequency of recent 200 years and a waterway linking the main stream and branch stream will be built to make the river flow easier. The river will be dredged for better main stream flow and the dredged soil will be used to create habitats/water-pockets of various organisms and an ecological island. They will be naturally created following the water level of the river and become ecologically important space while creating unique city landscape as the icon of the city.
Rainwater will be collected and fed into the ecological treatment facility to be re-circulated to the city afterward. The energy field and organic farming land will contribute in the environment-friendly lowcarbon environment. The ecological elements, the logistics innovation cluster and the state of the art knowledge and information industries will be functionally linked with each other. The urban culture facilities and the will be used to create habitats/water-pockets of various organisms and an ecological island.
